Shopping Out Loud.com

    Here’s the verbage from the Mudflats blog:

…She arrived at the turkey farm, with temperatures in the single digits in a short black skirt, and high heels. Then, she stood in the turkey shed, and read her statement.

Within the first 10 seconds I expected a lightning bolt to blow a hole in the roof of the turkey barn and strike her dead, leaving a little black pile of ashes with a pair of stylish glasses frames resting on top. Had I been there in person, they’d have seen me literally dive for cover.

Don’t let it keep you from reading the entire blog though it’s sad (read hilarious) when they actually kill one right behind her. Don’t watch if you’re faint of heart.

Contrary to popular belief my site is not called handbags.com or purses.com no, no, no. It’s still Shopping Out Loud.com. It’s just that I succumbed to my obsession with you know, purses during the past week.

I was at Macy’s

this morning trying to find the best roasting pan since I’m actually cooking a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving this year … who knew Martha makes the best ones?

Well, at least the best ones at Macy’s. And that’s all I had time for. 

Yes, I do have a life besides shopping.

I’m hosting my son and his new wife Amy from Spokane. They have a gorgeous new house I’m surprised they’re not staying home and having company over themselves. But I love having company so I’m really happy they’re coming. Probably my sister and family are coming for dessert and perhaps various other asundry relatives.

Hope you all saw Oprah the other day … oh my head. She reviewed the world’s perception of women and talked about different countries and what expectations are for women in specific countries. Mauritania (Africa) is the place to be. The fatter you are there and the bigger your butt the sexier you’re perceived to be. And they love stretch marks.

Who knew? I’m just saying I like big butts and I cannot lie. Teheh. I’m making a reservation today sistah!
