Want to get ahead of all your friends and acquaintances with the newest and best ever holiday décor? Want to make your good sister (the one who watches HGTV 24/7) green with jealousy?
Get up right now and put Saturday, Nov. 7 on your calendar. Then prepare to get your butt (and your wallet) to Home at Last at 1815 NE Broadway my very favorite store of all time. They’re having 20% off of all in-stock holiday décor and 15% off of all furniture special orders. And … you can enter their $250 shopping spree give-away.
That’s where I’ll be baby! Owner Dan Brungardt is my kind of shopper. He buys what I love! And then I’m broke by the time the holidays actually come around. But what the h… I mean you have to love where you live. I say splurge my dear. Splurge!
Here’s a few of the line he has acquired:

Merry Christmas … Happy New Year! Oh I’m so lame. Between dinners, presents, no travel because of snow and just pure lazy days … I have been remiss. I’ve also changed my isp and added new software. Excuses … Excuses. I know. I’m doing a Women & Art section special feature in January so my interest was piqued by this Youtube video. Check it out.
There are nothing but sales right now … doesn’t matter where you’re shopping. I happened to be at Kitchen Kaboodle on NE Broadway and picked up a very badly needed le Cruset spatula. My (hard-headed) spatula flew off in pieces this year into some cookie batter I made. Not exactly the Martha way to be baking. Anyhoo I was happy with the 50% off price tag.
Then I had to have this little corgi board. Adorable yes?
I’ve got my shop on! tomorrow … the roads are dry and drivers have regained their senses. What is the matter with you people when it rains? Let alone snows?

Yes I know. Kind of confusing. Have you seen the Flor carpet squares? I’ll drop in samples of the different varieties as we speak. tehe. Form and function.
You can look at all the variances all day long (which you can catalog now.)
Well they’re not all squares. They came out in 2003 and I wrote about them at the time a couple of years ago, but they’re just expanded like craziness. And Martha’s stepped on board … you know “seen on Martha Stewart’s Show.” Or maybe she was already on board.
You know it’s so hard to tell. But here’s what they say:
Launched in the spring of 2003 and based in Elmhurst, Illinois (just outside Chicago), FLOR is a line of design-inspired carpet squares for the home that lets you create unique area rugs, runners or wall-to-wall carpet designs quickly and easily.
The company was founded on the idea that carpet could be fun, stylish, practical and responsible. We think FLOR carpet tiles answer the call. The modular design means you can customize FLOR to fit any size space, even the most difficult layout, and take FLOR with you wherever you go. FLOR is also eco-friendly having some of the lowest Volatile Organic Compound emissions (VOCs) in the industry. Plus, FLOR comes in a wide variety of colors, patterns and textures so it gives you freedom to create exactly the right design for your room and your style.
Here’s another taste of the choices you’re going to be faced with. Remember with choice comes responsibility! Shop on.

Do you have walls with cracks, holes and and/or walls that could use a disguise? I had walls like that in a couple of houses I’ve owned. If I’d had access to The Design Public Outlet I could have transformed them with Modern Wallpaper by Inhabit.
This wallpaper is incredible. It comes in 18×18 inch wall flats – with peel and stick adhesive tape that are simple to put up and it’s paintable!
Here’s another choice called Seesaw by Inhabit which are designed to expand in any direction.
You can customize to your heart’s delight with the design you use to attach the tiles and/or paint to match your very own home décor. These wall flats are molded Bamboo Paper Pulp (sustainable) as well.
I love the textured effect you get and if you want a flat even color – add paint! What a great solution for any problem walls.
There you have it … my solution for problem walls. Have at it.
And shop on!
